What we collect
Accounts: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Sign-in sessions record an IP address and browser type for security.
Company profiles: business details such as company name, services, locations, business contact details, logos and photos. Company profiles contain business information; please don’t add personal information that isn’t needed for business contact.
Enquiries and messages: the content of enquiries, quote requests and replies, and any documents you attach.
Usage: aggregated counts such as profile views and website clicks, used to show companies how their profile performs. We also record search terms without linking them to you.
How we use it
To operate the directory: to run your account, publish and moderate company profiles, deliver enquiries and replies, send the emails you ask for or that are needed for your account, prevent abuse and improve the service.
When you send an enquiry, your name, email address and message go to the company you contacted so it can reply to you.
We send service emails about your account, enquiries, replies and your listing. You can switch optional alerts off in your email settings or with the unsubscribe link in each email. Security emails, such as password resets, are always sent. The monthly brief is sent only if you subscribe and confirm.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember your colour theme. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
Sharing
We don’t sell personal information. We use service providers for hosting and email delivery, who process data only on our instructions.
Retention
Account information is kept while your account is active. Company profiles remain until they are removed by the company or by us. Enquiries and messages are kept while the related account or profile exists.
Your choices
You can update your account and company profile at any time. To request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, contact us and start your message with “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm you control the account.
